John Mussoni's work experience includes a variety of roles in the media industry. John started their career as a Producer at WCAU-AM in 1975 and then worked as a Managing Editor at WEEI-AM from 1977 to 1980. John then joined WFSB as an Assignment Editor from 1980 to 1983. After that, they worked at NBC10 WCAU-TV as an Assignment Manager from 1983 to 1990. Following their time at NBC10, they became the News Director at WTXF-TV Philadelphia from 1990 to 2001. John then moved on to CN8/Comcast, where they worked as an Executive Producer from 2003 to 2009, overseeing live programs and news magazines. In 2009, they joined WHYY-TV as the Managing Editor of WHYY Delaware until 2015 when they became the Interim Vice President News, overseeing the news operation for radio, web, and TV. John also served as the Assistant Vice President of News Operations at WHYY from 2016 until their recent roles as the Audio Program/General Manager/Interim VP News and the Interim VP News in 2020 and 2022 respectively.
John Mussoni attended the University of Missouri-Columbia from 1969 to 1973, where they pursued a Bachelor of Journalism degree with a focus on Journalism.
