Kayla Watkins

Kayla Watkins is a seasoned digital producer currently working at WHYY, focusing on filming, pitching, producing, and editing for the organization's Digital Studios since September 2022. In addition to this role, Kayla has been an adjunct professor at Temple University since September 2013, where responsibilities have included teaching film courses, leading student labs and discussions, and providing assistance in post-production. Previous positions at Temple University include videographer, teaching assistant, equipment office technician, and post-production lab assistant. Kayla also served as an adjunct professor at Moore College of Art and Design, instructing an Intro to Film and Digital Media class from January to September 2022. Furthermore, Kayla was a media facilitator at POPPYN, where oversight of a youth-led news show and training interns on various production skills were key responsibilities.
