Yong Liu is a seasoned professional in the field of electrical engineering, currently serving as a Senior Architect at Apple since 2013. In addition to this role, Yong Liu has been a member of the Board of Directors at Wi-Fi Alliance since 2019. Previous experience includes serving as the 802.11ah MAC co-chair at IEEE from 2012 to 2017, a Principal Scientist at Broadcom in 2012, and a Staff System Architect at Marvell Semiconductor from 2008 to 2012. Yong Liu began the career as a Senior R&D Engineer at Samsung from 2005 to 2008, focusing on long-term technology innovations in wireless communication. Academically, Yong Liu holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from The City College of New York, as well as a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from New York University - Polytechnic School of Engineering, and a combined Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in System Engineering from the University of Science and Technology of China.
