Paul Chau

Senior Partner at WI Harper Group

Mr. Paul Chau is a Senior Partner in the San Francisco office. He brings over 20 years of venture capital, private equity, consulting, and technical expertise and currently focuses on tech investments as well as management of WI Harper’s information technology and medical technology companies in the U.S.

Mr. Chau presently serves on the Board of Roadzen and Dynosense. He has previously been a Board Director for DivX (NASDAQ IPO), USI Insurance Corporation (NASDAQ IPO, later acquired by Goldman Sachs), Maxic Technology, and Ultriva (acquired by Upland Software), and LogicEase (acquired by CoreLogic). His investment history also includes Fortinet (NASDAQ: FTNT), Equant (NYSE IPO), Tularik (NASDAQ IPO), Ooma (NASDAQ IPO), Solar Power Inc (NASDAQ: SOPW), Airy3D, Alpha Ring, Avaamo, Cnano Technology, Embark Trucks, Maxthon. Ultracision (acquired by Johnson & Johnson), Windyvale, and Verisilicon.

Mr. Chau has been with WI Harper since 2001. Previously, Mr. Chau was at Walden International, handling investment sourcing and execution as well as portfolio management. He was also formerly at GIC (Government of Singapore Investment Corporation), where he directed private equity and venture capital investments in the U.S. Before joining GIC, Mr. Chau was a Senior Consultant with BARRA, a financial consulting company for pension funds and money management firms.

Mr. Chau holds an MBA from UC Berkeley and a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Canterbury.
