Chin Sean Sum

Chin-Sean Sum, Ph.D., currently serves as the Certification Program Manager at Wi-SUN Alliance since May 2012 and holds leadership positions as Chair of the Test and Certification Committee and Chair of the Technical Steering Committee. Additionally, since January 2010, Chin-Sean Sum has been a Senior Member of IEEE, contributing as a Technical Editor for various IEEE standards. Chin-Sean Sum is also an Associate Faculty member at Singapore Institute of Technology, teaching courses in MATLAB Programming and Computer Networks. Previous roles include serving as a delegate for the Japanese Government at the World Radiocommunications Conference and as Chairman of Drafting Group Agenda Item for the Asia Pacific Telecommunity. With a background in research on PHY/MAC layer system designs and a solid academic foundation, including a Ph.D. in Information Science and Engineering from Niigata University, Chin-Sean Sum has significantly contributed to the development of standards and technologies in telecommunications.
