Kourtney Hensley Carson

Kourtney Hensley Carson serves as the President and CEO of the Wichita Public Library Foundation since February 2024. Prior to this role, Kourtney directed development efforts at the Wichita Art Museum from November 2014 to January 2024, focusing on building relationships with patrons and the community. Kourtney's experience includes a position as Major Gift Officer at the Kansas Humane Society from March 2010 to October 2014, where efforts were directed towards fostering donor relationships to support the organization's mission. Additionally, Kourtney held roles in development and community relations at the Kansas Humane Society and Equity Ventures Commercial Development. Kourtney began a career in development at Botanica The Wichita Gardens as Assistant Director of Development and Retail Store Manager. Educational achievements include a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from Kansas State University (1998-2002) and graduation from Mulvane High School (1995-1998).
