Phylicia Campbell is a dedicated mental health professional with extensive experience in youth therapy and advocacy. Currently serving as a Youth Therapist at Henderson Behavioral Health since September 2014, Phylicia provides intensive in-home therapy, develops treatment plans, and conducts crisis intervention. Additionally, Phylicia has been an Advocate at Women In Distress of Broward County, Inc. since May 2014, handling crisis calls and facilitating safety plans. Previous roles include MSW Case Manager/Therapist at MedStar Montgomery Medical Center and MSW Case Manager at New Visions Academy, focusing on providing clinical services to at-risk youth. Phylicia holds a Doctorate in Social Work from Capella University and a Master of Social Work from the University of Maryland.

Women In Distress is the only nationally accredited, state-certified, full service domestic violence center serving Broward County, Florida. Our mission is to stop domestic violence abuse for everyone through intervention, education and advocacy.We strive to accomplish this mission through a 24-hour crisis line, emergency shelter program, individual counseling, support groups and professional trainings which are aimed at educating the community on domestic violence. Our confidential services are offered free of charge to victims of domestic violence no matter their age, gender, race or socio-economic status.
