James Clarkson

James Clarkson has a diverse work experience in the medical field. James served as the Chief Medical Officer and Co-Founder at WAVR - Wide Awake VR, Inc., where they aimed to reduce the dependence on central nervous anesthesia and increase access to local anesthesia using VR technology. At Sparrow Health System, they held the positions of Medical Director and Section Chief. James also worked at Michigan State University as an Assistant Professor, Plastic Surgeon, and Hand and Wrist Surgeon. Additionally, they served as an Assistant Professor at Michigan State University College of Human Medicine. Before that, they worked as a Microsurgery and Hand Fellow at Kleinert Kutz and as a Specialist Registrar for Plastic Surgery at Ninewells Hospital Dundee, Scotland, and Canniesburn department of Plastic Surgery. James completed the West Midlands Plastic Surgery training program as a Specialist Registrar for Plastic Surgery. Overall, Clarkson has extensive experience in plastic and reconstructive surgery, with a focus on hand and wrist surgery, VR technology, and medical education.

James Clarkson attended London Hospital Medical School from 1990 to 1995, where they pursued an undergraduate degree in Medical Education.
