Cuito Naude

Cuito Naude has a diverse range of work experience. Cuito started their career in 2011 as a DJ under the name Cuito/DJ Mongoose. In 2015, they co-founded Welcome to the Underground, a collective that hosted house parties, radio shows, and events. In 2016, they worked as a Production Assistant at ATOM.

In 2017, Cuito joined Mobenzi as a Junior Software Engineer, where they worked with front-end technologies and provided support to internal and external stakeholders.

In 2018, Cuito became a Production Manager and Booking Agent at Black Major, where they handled the coordination of tours, album production, and brand collaborations for artists on the company's roster.

In 2019, Cuito took on multiple roles. Cuito became the Managing Director of On The Loose, a creative experience design studio. Additionally, they served as the Head Organizer for the We Here festival, which showcased Cape Town talent. Cuito also worked as a Programmer and Production Assistant at Crayons, where they organized parties featuring hip hop, R&B, and dance music.

In 2021, Cuito joined &Wider as a Software Engineer. Cuito later got promoted to Tech Lead, overseeing tech operations, code review, database management, and software architecture.

Throughout their career, Cuito has demonstrated skills in software engineering, event management, logistics, and music curation.

Cuito Naude has a diverse education history. In 2007, they started their secondary education at Westerford High School, where they completed their high school degree. During their time at Westerford High School from 2007 to 2011, Cuito studied subjects such as English, Mathematics, Biology, History, Geography, and Afrikaans.

Following their high school education, Cuito Naude pursued a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Cape Town, starting in 2013 and graduating in 2016. Cuito specialized in Computer Science and also studied Xhosa during their time at the university.

In 2022, Cuito enrolled in EXPLORE Data Science Academy, where they obtained a Diploma in Data Science. This educational experience provided him with practical knowledge and expertise in the field of Data Science.

Additionally, in July 2022, Cuito obtained a certification as a "Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals" from Microsoft. This certification further enhances their skills and knowledge in the field of cloud computing with a focus on Microsoft Azure.
