David Davies

David Davies is a Board Member at Wienerberger. David was previously with First Alpha Energy Capital LLP, Uniper, and Wienerberger AG. From August 2016 to June 2019, they were an independent non-executive director at Ophir-Energy, where they also served as Chair of the Audit Committee and member of the Remuneration Committee. Prior to that, they were a board member at NOVA Chemicals from January 2009 to December 2010, where they chaired the audit committee.

From April 2002 to July 2016, Davies was with OMV AG, where they eventually became Vice Chairman of the Executive Board and CFO. OMV is Austria’s largest company with revenues exceeding €25 billion. As Group Finance Director at Morgan Advanced Materials from March 2000 to March 2002, Davies was responsible for the financial management of the group.

David Davies has an MBA from Cass Business School, a FCA from ICAEW, and a BA (Hons) in Economics from the University of Liverpool.
