Andrew Ritter is a Partner in Wiggin and Dana’s Corporate Department and focuses his practice on mergers and acquisitions and corporate restructuring matters.
As a mergers and acquisitions attorney, Andrew has advised public and private companies, investment firms, strategic investors and other parties on domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, carve-outs and other dispositions, joint ventures, venture capital and other minority investments, and general corporate matters.
As a restructuring attorney, Andrew has advised debtors, creditors, distressed investors and acquirers in a variety of in- and out-of-court restructuring matters, including numerous complex Chapter 11 cases.
Prior to joining Wiggin and Dana, Andrew worked as an Associate for two international law firms, and later founded his own transactional practice called Ritter Law LLC. Most recently, Andrew was Partner at a New York-based, boutique transactional law firm.
Before his career in law, Andrew served in the U.S. Army as an infantryman, and deployed to Afghanistan with the 82nd Airborne Division. Andrew earned his J.D. in two years from Northwestern University School of Law, and earned his Bachelor of Arts from Florida Gulf Coast University studying Political Science and Economics.
