Stuart Brodsky

Principal at Wight & Company

Driven by his love for science, art, nature, and photography, Stuart–a Principal in the PK-12 education practice–discovered his passion for architecture in high school, when his physics teacher inspired him to apply design thinking to solve complex science problems through hands-on learning experiences. As a result of those lessons, he chose to dedicate his future career to the design of the built environment and K-12 schools.

Stuart is most inspired by designing learning environments that tap into students’ creativity and passion. He studies how the evolving fields of neuroscience and social science can be used to apply evidence-based principles to design for neurodiversity, equity, and inclusion. Stuart believes that by combining these influences, architects can design environments that foster intrinsic motivation for learning and shape a resilient future for students that will prepare them to become contributing and compassionate members of society.
