Edgar Camilo Castañeda

Edgar Camilo Castañeda began their career in 2019 as a Global Data Operations Intern at MSD, where they achieved increased efficiency in terms of workload distribution and human resources recruiting by developing projects involving data categorization and implementation of forecasting methods. Edgar Camilo also programmed interactive dashboards in Excel for use by senior management. In 2021, they joined Inversiones en Tecnologias de la Informacion INVTECINF as a Financial Analyst/Consultant, where they supported acceleration of 20+ high potential startups portfolio by giving advisory in terms of financial planning, budget reports, fundraising, strategy and establishment of KPIs. Edgar Camilo also participated in the filter and selection process of startups joining the investment fund and was responsible for startup’s metrics follow up. In 2022, Edgar Camilo Castañeda became a Chief Financial Officer at Wihom, where they led and structured the financial-administrative area. Edgar Camilo was responsible for Balance Sheet, P&L, Cashflow and business KPI’s control and built financial models, evaluated market size and collaborated in investor deck structure for fundraising activities. Edgar Camilo also became a Gen X Alumni at Parallel18.

Edgar Camilo Castañeda obtained a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering from Universidad de Los Andes between 2015 and 2020. Edgar Camilo also obtained a Minor in Business Management from the same university between 2017 and 2020. Edgar Camilo attended Saint George's School prior to 2015. Edgar Camilo has also obtained a number of certifications, including Corporate Finance: Risk & Return from Columbia University in the City of New York in August 2021, SQL for Data Science from University of California, Davis in January 2021, a Diploma in Negotiation from Cámara de Comercio de Bogotá in October 2020, Excel Skills for Business: Intermediate II from Macquarie University in June 2019, and IELTS Level C1 from British Council in April 2015.
