Marte Sønstevold

Marte Sønstevold is a Senior Lawyer at Wikborg Rein's Oslo office and is part of the firm's ​​Shipping Offshore practice.

She specialises in maritime dispute resolution and has broad experience from non-marine and marine insurance law, maritime and transport law, contract law and tort law. She has experience with securing claims in Norway with ship arrest, forced sale and other enforcement actions.

Marte primarily assists larger national and international companies, including P&I clubs, H&M insurers, general insurance companies, shipowners, charterers and other companies within the maritime sector in connection with coverage issues, direct actions claims, charterparty disputes, cargo claims, claims for indemnification and recourse claims, in addition to jurisdiction and choice of law issues.
