Nelly Darbois

I began contributing to Wikipedia as a volunteer in 2012, while developing web projects related to my first profession, physical therapy. Over time, I acquired dual expertise in scientific writing and SEO, which led me to create kinedarbois.fr in 2019 — a trilingual information website that now receives over 150,000 monthly visits.

Recognizing a growing need for professional guidance specifically on Wikipedia, I founded Wikiconsult in 2022.

While some U.S. agencies had already adopted a transparent approach to Wikipedia editing — clearly disclosing their involvement and striving to follow the encyclopedia’s rules — most French actors remained opaque about their methods.

I chose instead to take an approach aligned with Wikipedia’s spirit. In just three years, I have supported more than 120 French and international clients.

Regularly interviewed by the business press and invited to podcasts, I also speak at professional events to explain the impact of Wikipedia on SEO and brand reputation — and why it’s essential for organizations and public figures to take it seriously without trying to bypass its rules.

Committed to direct democracy, decentralization, and consensus-based governance, I am one of the co-founders of Solution Démocratique, a political movement promoting a Swiss-inspired model of democracy in France.

Since 2020, I have pledged to donate 10% of my annual income to effective charitable organizations through the Giving What We Can movement.

I live in Savoie with my husband and our two children.
