Denny Vrandečić

Denny Vrandečić is a Head of Special Projects at Wikimedia Foundation since July 2020. Prior to that, Denny worked at Google as an Ontologist from October 2013 to July 2020. Denny also served as a Member of the Board of Trustees at Wikimedia Foundation in 2015 - 2016 and founded Wikidata while at Wikimedia Deutschland e.V. from March 2012 to September 2013. With a background in Philosophy and Computer Science, Denny has also worked as a Scientist, Guest Researcher, Researcher, and Visiting Researcher at various institutions before their current role. Additionally, Denny worked as a Freelancer on the development of "Mach's Richtig" Software for the Bundesagentur für Arbeit.
