Stan Adams

Stan Adams currently serves as the Lead Public Policy Specialist at the Wikimedia Foundation, focusing on the intersection of technology and legal policy, particularly in telecom, copyright, AI, and emerging tech policies. Previous positions include General Counsel for the Office of U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff and Deputy General Counsel at the Center for Democracy & Technology, where Stan also held the role of Open Internet Counsel. Academic experience includes serving as a Policy Fellow and Teaching Assistant at Georgetown University Law Center, developing curriculum content, and guiding students in legal technology projects. Stan’s early career involved legal technology work for The Police Foundation and custom woodworking as a partner at Adams Custom Woodworking. Stan holds a Juris Doctor from Georgetown University Law Center and a Bachelor of Science in Forest Resources from the University of Georgia.
