Dr. Muataz Alhussein currently holds the position of Supervisor at the University of Cambridge, overseeing undergraduate courses in high-speed frequency and photonics technology since April 2020. In addition, Dr. Alhussein serves as a BSF fellow at Wilbe | Home for Scientist Leaders and has been a Researcher at Sumitomo Heavy Industries, Ltd. since June 2019, where contributions include developing a deep learning algorithm for early disaster alarms in power plants. Prior roles include a Research Associate involved in a significant quantum hub project in the UK, a Doctoral Student specializing in quantum cryptography at Osaka University, and a Network Manager at SKY light. Dr. Alhussein's academic background comprises a PhD and research studies in advanced optical communication and quantum security from Osaka University, a Master's degree in wireless communication systems from The University of Sheffield, and a Bachelor's degree in Information Engineering from Alnahrain University.
