David Verkade

David Verkade is an experienced lighting designer and technician with a diverse portfolio spanning over two decades. Currently serving as Location Lead for MagicSnow and AV and Lighting Lead for SC Exhibitions, David has also been a Lighting Technician at The Showbox since 1998 and has contributed to critical projects like the installation of the LED house lighting system at Showbox SODO. Throughout various positions, including Lead Preparater at Exhibits Development Group and Lighting Designer for The Cabiri, David has showcased expertise in lighting design, technical direction, and production management. Engagements with Wild Ginger / The Triple Door and AEG Live have further solidified David's reputation in the industry. Additionally, David has worked as an AV Technician at the Museum of Pop Culture, dealing with event lighting, video, and audio. David holds educational experience from Cape Cod Community College and Swain School of Design.
