Dan Hacking has worked in a variety of roles since 1997. Dan began their career with Allergy Therapeutics and SmithKline Beecham Corporation as a Quality Assurance/Manufacturing Team Leader/Process Improvements. From 1997 to 2001, they worked as a Pharmaceutical/Validation Scientist and Consultant for Bovis Lend Lease Pharmaceutical. In 2003, they joined GXPi as a Pharmaceutical/Validation Scientist and Consultant. From 2005 to 2013, Dan worked as a Police Officer for the Metropolitan Police. During this time, they were a Field Intelligence Officer in Croydon, conducting proactive analysis of crime/intelligence systems and managing static and foot surveillance. From 2013 to 2020, Dan worked at GSK, first as an Augmentin Bulk Sterile (ABS) FLL, then as an Outbound Warehouse Team Leader, and finally as an Operations Support Manager for the Steriles Value Stream. Most recently, in 2020, Dan joined the Brighton & Sussex University Hospitals NHS Trust as a Patient First Improvement System (Kaizen Lean) Practitioner. In 2021, they began working as a Fulfillment Manager for Wild Nutrition, developing a new warehouse, fulfilment & logistics centre and recruiting and developing a team.
Dan Hacking obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) (Hons) in Biochemistry from the University of Sussex between 1995 and 1997. Dan also obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Biochemistry from the same university during the same time period. Prior to that, Dan Hacking attended Loughborough Grammar School. In December 2019, they obtained a certification in 'Lead Like a Boss' from LinkedIn.
