Ramona Denies

Ramona DeNies is a Senior Writer at Wild Salmon Center since August 2019, with a rich background in freelance writing for notable publications such as Outside, the Believer, and the Seattle Met since 2012. Ramona has also served as the Lead Contributor for Wildsam Field Guides' Pacific Northwest Field Guide in late 2020 and was the News and Travel Editor and Associate Editor at Portland Monthly Magazine from 2014 to 2019, overseeing travel coverage and research packages. Previous roles include Writer & Editor for The Intertwine Alliance, Research and Events Consultant at Cimarron Capital Partners, and Chief Researcher for the Council of Development Finance Agencies. Ramona holds an MFA in Creative Writing from Portland State University and a Bachelor of Arts in English and Latin American Studies from The University of Kansas.
