Jon Schwedler is the Director of Communications at WildEarth Guardians. Prior to their current role, Jon held various communication and marketing positions at The Nature Conservancy, including serving as the Associate Director for multiple programs. Jon also has experience in fundraising, grant writing, and media management from their time at organizations like Northern Jaguar Project and Keystone Conservation. Jon holds a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology/Archeaology from St. Mary's College of Maryland and a Masters in Zooarcheaology from California State University-Sacramento.

Driven by passion, we’ve tackled some of the West’s most difficult and pressing conservation challenges over the past three decades. We’ve celebrated small victories (banning leghold trapping in the state of Colorado), monumental triumphs (ending logging on more than 21 million acres in the Southwest), and everything in-between.
