Gwen Wilson

Youth Employment Coordinator at Wilderness Inquiry

Gwen Wilson is an experienced youth advocate with a strong background in leadership development and youth programs. Currently serving as the Youth Employment Coordinator at Wilderness Inquiry since 2016, Gwen focuses on the recruitment, training, and management of youth interns. Prior to this role, Gwen spent over 20 years at YWCA of Minneapolis in various positions, including Program Director and Vice President of Girls and Youth Programs, where efforts centered on enhancing academic success and fostering leadership skills among youth. Gwen's career includes hands-on experience in facilitating programs aimed at preventing juvenile justice involvement and promoting responsible decision-making regarding sexual health. Additionally, Gwen has served as a Junior Varsity Girls Softball Coach at Washburn High School and as a Lead Youth Counselor at St. Joseph's Home for Children. Gwen holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice with an emphasis in Counseling from Gustavus Adolphus College.
