Ashleigh Gureckas

Ashleigh Gureckas is an experienced Art Therapy Clinician currently working at Kutenai Art Therapy Institute since September 2020, where roles include Clinical Placement Coordinator, Teaching Assistant, and Clinical Art Therapy Intern, focusing on clinical psychotherapy and community-based therapeutic groups. In addition, Ashleigh serves as an Art Psychotherapist and Registered Therapeutic Counsellor at Discover Art Therapy, and as a Wilderness First Aid Instructor with Wilderness Medical Associates International. Previous experience includes facilitating art therapy groups for diverse populations at Kootenay Society for Community Living, individual therapy in long-term care settings at Park Place Seniors Living, and outdoor education and group facilitation roles spanning several camps and outdoor education centers. Ashleigh holds a postgraduate degree in Art Psychotherapy from Kutenai Art Therapy Institute, a certificate in Holistic Nutrition from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, and a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies and Psychology from Trent University.
