Pieter Maes

Pieter Maes is an accomplished professional in emergency services and education, currently serving as the Founder and Program Developer of the Firefighter Mayday Program, which has become mandatory for Belgian firefighters since its inception in 2012. Pieter also works as a Firefighter, EMT, and Instructor with the Brussels Fire Department and provides specialized First Aid training through Wilderness Medical Associates International. Previous experience includes delivering First Aid and Fire Safety training for Demos Group and serving as a Firefighter and EMT with Brandweer Leuven. As the Founder and Manager of Boomer bvba, expertise in building airtightness was developed from 2001 to 2011. Educated at Katholieke Hogeschool Leuven with a degree in Physical Education and Recreation Movement, Pieter Maes brings a wealth of practical knowledge and leadership to the field.
