Marco Palma has over 20 years of work experience in software engineering, beginning with their role as Web Technologist at eToys.com in 1999. In 2001, they became a Software Engineer at Citysearch, where they started as a front-end developer writing static, table-centric HTML. Marco then moved to the back-end of the website, writing controllers and models drawing from the site's MySQL and Oracle databases. In 2006, they became a Senior Engineer at Tumis, where they created a web application framework for social networking and content publishing applications. In 2008, they joined MyShape as a Senior Software Developer, and in 2010 they became a Perl Software Engineer at Oversee.net. In 2012, they became a Software Engineer III at OpenX, and in 2018 they joined GrayMeta Inc. as a Software Developer. In 2021, they began working as a Software Engineer-II at Tala, and in 2022 they joined Wildfire Systems, Inc. as a Software Engineer.
Marco Palma attended the University of California, Berkeley from 1992 to 1996, where they earned a B.A in Development Studies and a Minor in Spanish.
