Sean A. Hoolehan, CGCS has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of golf course management. Sean A. began their career in 1981 as an Assistant Superintendent at Ruth Lake Country Club, where they gained valuable experience.

In 1985, Hoolehan moved on to become the Golf Course Superintendent at the Navy Marine Golf Course, where they managed the grounds of a busy US Navy facility and oversaw maintenance at the Par 3 course on Ford Island. Sean A. handled agronomy, budgeting, purchasing, scheduling staff, and implemented a safety program.

In 1989, Hoolehan joined the Ko'olau Golf Course/Minami Group USA as a Project Manager. Sean A. played a key role in building a world-class golf course on the windward side of Oahu. Hoolehan introduced the use of seashore paspalum on the tees and demonstrated its excellent adaptation to highly maintained turfgrass situations. The course received the highest slope rating from the USGA at the time.

Hoolehan then joined Wildhorse Resort & Casino in 1996 as the Golf Course Superintendent and Director of Grounds. Sean A. held this position until 2017, overseeing the maintenance and operations of the golf course and grounds.

In 2001, Hoolehan took on a leadership role as President/Officer/Director at the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA). Sean A. served in this capacity until 2008, contributing to the development and advancement of the profession.

From 2018 to 2022, Hoolehan worked at The Retreat, Links & Spa at Silvies Valley Ranch. Sean A. initially served as the Chief Operating Officer and later took on the role of Superintendent. Since 2022, Hoolehan is currently serving as the Director of Grounds at Wildhorse Resort & Casino, where they are responsible for overseeing the grounds department.
