Jessicah Kurere is a dedicated veterinary professional with expertise in wildlife conservation and animal health. Currently serving on the Executive Committee of the Kenya Veterinary Association Wildlife Branch since April 2023, Jessicah also participates in the Wildlife Conservation Network's Early Career Programme. As the Lead Veterinarian for Ewaso Lions and VetinWild, responsible for a mobile veterinary unit, Jessicah focuses on the One Health approach to safeguard domestic animals, wildlife, and human health. Co-founding The Reptile Study Group Kenya, Jessicah promotes awareness of reptile conservation and healthcare among undergraduates. Experience includes serving as a Veterinary Surgeon for Laikipia County Government and volunteering at the National Museums of Kenya’s Snake Park, where training and educational initiatives were developed. Jessicah holds a Master's degree in Epidemiology from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and a Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Nairobi.
