Amrei von Hase

Amrei Von Hase is a seasoned biodiversity specialist and conservation practitioner with extensive experience in various roles geared towards ecological preservation and sustainable development. Currently serving as the Programme Director for COMBO+ at the Wildlife Conservation Society since December 2021, Amrei also works independently as a biodiversity specialist and offset practitioner since May 2020. Prior to this, Amrei was a Science Advisor for the Business and Biodiversity Offsets Programme & Biodiversity Initiative at Forest Trends Association from 2009 to May 2020. Earlier experience includes consulting for the Botanical Society and serving as a Project Manager and specialist ecologist at The Botanical Society of South Africa from 2001 to 2004. Amrei holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Ecology and Conservation Biology and a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Botany, Zoology, and Environmental and Geographic Science from the University of Cape Town.
