Becky Higgins

Becky Higgins, M.S.Ed., currently serves as the Manager of Professional Development - Teacher Education at the Wildlife Conservation Society as of April 2024. Previously, from August 2021 to April 2024, Becky held the position of Professional Learning Manager & Senior Curriculum Specialist at New York Sun Works, where responsibility included the organization of climate education programs and an annual Youth Conference. Prior experience includes roles as a Director of Educational Partnerships at Cyan Planet, Seventh Grade Science Teacher in Bridgeport Public Schools, and Science Content Specialist at The Johns Hopkins University. Becky’s research experience includes work with the Cornell Lab of Ornithology and Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, focusing on bioacoustics and marine conservation. Education includes a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology and Society with a concentration in Marine Biology from Cornell University and a Master of Science in Education from Johns Hopkins University.
