Michel Masozera has extensive experience in wildlife conservation and policy leadership across Africa. Currently serving as Director of Policy and Partnerships for Africa at the Wildlife Conservation Society since December 2020, Michel previously held the position of Deputy Leader in the Global Wildlife Practice at WWF International from July 2017 to December 2020, where strategic leadership for wildlife conservation was provided. Michel's career at the Wildlife Conservation Society began in 2002, progressing from Technical Advisor and Country Director to roles including Country Director for the Rwanda Program and Global Lead for Ecosystem Services until mid-2017. Michel holds a PhD in Natural Resources from the University of Vermont and a Master's degree in Forest Resources Conservation from the University of Florida.
