Martin Noponen

Martin Noponen is a seasoned professional in the field of carbon consultancy and climate strategies, currently serving as the Global Director of Quality & Impacts at Wildlife Works. Noponen has extensive experience, having held various leadership roles at Rainforest Alliance, including Director of Nature and Director of Climate, where responsibilities included supporting climate change adaptation and mitigation efforts. As a carbon consultant at CarbonRoots, Noponen specializes in GHG accounting and carbon footprinting methods. Notable achievements include doctoral research on coffee agroforestry and the development of a carbon calculator tool. Noponen holds a Ph.D. in Agroforestry from Bangor University and has degrees in Forestry and Development Studies.
