Sara Thomas Deshpande

Sara Thomas Deshpande serves as a General Partner at Maven Ventures since June 2014, specializing in seed stage investments in technology companies that address evolving consumer behaviors. Concurrently, since September 2019, Sara has been a Lecturer in Management at Stanford University Graduate School of Business, teaching an intensive Startup Garage course that engages students in real-world business concept development. Sara is actively involved as an investor in several companies, including Hello Heart, Wildtype, Carrot Fertility, and Daybreak Health, participating in multiple funding rounds and holding positions such as Board Observer. Previous roles include Startup Advisor, Director of Entrepreneur Services at The Idea Village, and Manager at Deloitte Consulting, along with foundational experiences at Xavier University and Stanford University Graduate School of Business, where Sara earned an MBA.
