Xi Wang

Xi Wang is a Senior Research Associate at Wildtype, beginning in November 2023, where responsibilities include research and development of cell-cultivated seafood products and launching the first cultivated seafood product in the US. Previously, Xi Wang worked at Eat Just, Inc. from June 2022 to October 2023 as a Research Associate II, focusing on innovation in plant-based food and cell-cultivated meat products, enhancing product quality through extrusion technology and formulation development. Earlier experience includes collaboration at the UC Berkeley Sutardja Center for Entrepreneurship and Technology on plant-based cold cut innovations and a research assistant role at Purdue University, where research involved metal-centered cyclam complexes. Educational credentials include a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Purdue University.
