Daniel Brooks

Daniel Brooks is a Partner at Wiley Rein LLP, has been in this position since February 2014, focusing on representing domestic and international companies, private equity firms, and investment funds in national security reviews involving CFIUS, Team Telecom, and the DCSA. Responsibilities include negotiating and drafting purchase agreements and fund formation documents to mitigate national security risks in foreign investment transactions. Prior to this role, Daniel served as an Associate at Bingham McCutchen from November 2012 to January 2014, assisting telecommunications companies with FCC and state regulatory approvals and national security reviews. Daniel's earlier experience also includes an Associate position at Sheppard Mullin Richter & Hampton LLP from September 2009 to November 2012, where due diligence for M&A transactions and compliance with SEC regulations were primary responsibilities. Daniel began a legal career as a Law Clerk at Advocates for Basic Legal Equality, Inc. in 2007. Daniel holds a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Michigan Law School and a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from the University of Michigan.
