Thomas M. Johnson, Jr. serves as a Partner and Co-Chair of the Appellate Practice at Wiley Rein LLP since April 2021. Previously, Thomas was General Counsel at the Federal Communications Commission from October 2017 to January 2021 and served as Deputy Solicitor General for the West Virginia Attorney General's Office from September 2016 to October 2017. Prior to these roles, Thomas was Of Counsel at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP for ten years. Thomas holds a Doctor of Law (JD) from Harvard Law School, earned between 2002 and 2005, and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Government from Georgetown University, completed in 2002.
