Jim McCarthy

Jim McCarthy is the Chief Financial Officer at Wilhelmina International. Prior to this, they were the Controller at The Orchard from August 2009 to April 2016. Jim has also worked as a Senior Manager at Ernst & Young from September 1999 to August 2009.

During their time at The Orchard, Jim oversaw revenue, tax, FX contracts, Sarbanes Oxley requirements, external audits, and major initiatives. Under their leadership, the company experienced seven consecutive years of rising revenue, profitability, EBITDA and business value. In addition, they worked closely with investment bankers to achieve a successful exit for a major shareholder.

Jim is known for their ability to clearly and concisely summarize and communicate key performance metrics and the status of ongoing initiatives. Jim also has a fresh look at the financial closing process which shortened the monthly closing by 30 days. Moreover, they were in charge of coordination of all periodic SEC filings on Form 10-Q and 10-K.

At Ernst & Young, Jim gained a wealth of experience in various aspects of accounting and finance. Jim was responsible for auditing public and private companies in various industries including manufacturing, retail, distribution, technology, and telecommunications. Jim also has experience in providing tax consulting services to clients in a variety of industries.
