Nakul Malhotra has extensive work experience in the maritime industry. Nakul started their career as a Marine Engineering Officer at Neptune Orient Lines and Worldwide Shipping. Later, they held various roles at Wilhelmsen group, including Vice President Emerging Opportunities Portfolio - Maritime Services and Vice President Open Innovation - Marine Products. In these roles, they focused on venture development, innovation, and ecosystem development. Nakul also led strategic investments and managed product development and marketing functions. Nakul has also served in leadership positions such as Marine Products Director and Regional Director. Additionally, they have taken on advisory roles in various organizations, including Pelagus 3D, Motion Ventures, and Everimpact. Nakul is also an Officer and Ambassador at Eyesea, a nonprofit organization dedicated to mapping maritime pollution and hazards.
Nakul Malhotra completed their education chronologically as follows:
- In 1993, they obtained their A Levels from the British School.
- In 1995, they earned a degree in Marine Engineering from the Glasgow College of Nautical Studies.
- In 2001, they achieved a Class 1 (Motor) - Chief Engineer degree in Marine Engineering from the Maritime Coastguard Agency.
- In 2009, they completed the Global Leadership Development Program from WW Academy.
- In 2010, they received a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Business Administration, Management, and Operations from the Manchester Business School.
Additionally, Nakul Malhotra obtained various certifications over the years, including being a Fellow of the Nautical Institute (FNI), Fellow of the Institute of Marine Engineering, Science, and Technology (IMarEST), Fellow of the Royal Institution of Naval Architects (FRINA), Fellow of the Institute of Marine Engineers (India) (FIMarE (I)), Chartered Fellow of the Institute of Logistics & Transport International (FCILT), and a member of Mensa International.
