Elena Dorr Zienda has worked for Cargill since 2010 in a variety of roles, including Emerging Business Leader - Salt Strategy & Business Development, Strategic Pricing Manager, Director of Salt Production Excellence and Continuous Improvement, Lead Research Engineer, Senior Research Engineer, Research Engineer, Process Development Group Engineer and Department Supervisor, Site Continuous Improvement Lead, and Manufacturing and Project Engineer, Intern, Co-op. In 2019, they co-founded Willa's Oat Milks.

Elena Dorr Zienda has a diverse educational background. Elena obtained a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering and Bioengineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology in 2010. Prior to that, they attended the University of Minnesota from 2005 to 2007, studying Chemical Engineering. In 2018, they completed an Executive MBA from the University of Minnesota - Carlson School of Management. Additionally, they studied Engineering at Zurich University of Applied Sciences. Elena also holds two certifications: a Cargill Catalyst Program from INSEAD obtained in 2020 and a Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt from Cargill obtained in 2015.
