Firas Karkar

Firas Karkar, PE, is a licensed mechanical engineer (PE, LEED AP BD+C) based in New York, with over a decade of experience in MEP building services design. Currently serving as a Project Manager and Senior Mechanical Engineer at Willdan, Firas is involved in high-performance buildings MEP design and electrification. They have previously worked as a Project Engineer at Dar Al-Handasah and P.A. Collins P.E Consulting Engineers, where they focused on MEP design and energy retrofits. Firas began their career as a trainee at Ar Stores, developing skills in maintenance and overhauls of diesel engines. They hold a Bachelor of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering from Al-Balqa' Applied University.
