Emiko Ono

Program Director, Performing Arts at William and Flora Hewlett Foundation

Emiko Ono has a diverse work experience in the arts sector. Emiko is currently a board member at Grantmakers in the Arts since November 2019. Prior to that, they worked at the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation from 2011. At Hewlett Foundation, Emiko held multiple roles including Program Director and Program Officer for Performing Arts. Emiko also served as an Advisory Board member at Emerging Arts Leaders/Los Angeles from 2010 to 2011. From 2008 to 2011, Emiko was the Director of Grants and Professional Development at the Los Angeles County Arts Commission. Emiko managed various programs and initiatives aimed at enhancing the capacity of the arts sector. Additionally, they were a board member at the Museum Educators of Southern California from 2003 to 2011 and held the position of Manager of Education Initiatives and Partnerships at the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County from 2004 to 2007.

Emiko Ono has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology from the University of California, Berkeley. Additionally, Emiko Ono has a Master of Science degree in Leadership in Museum Education from Bank Street College of Education.
