Luis Laboy

Luis Laboy serves as the Director of Public Equities at The William and Flora Hewlett Foundation since March 2016. Prior to this role, Luis held the position of Senior Managing Director at Everest Capital from June 2002 to March 2016, where responsibilities included co-managing a global Frontier Markets hedge fund and a long-only fund with total assets under management of $800 million. Luis also managed a Latin America hedge fund and contributed to decision-making for an Emerging Markets hedge fund. Earlier career experience includes serving as a Global Emerging Markets Portfolio Manager and Analyst at Dresdner RCM Global Investors, where a top-performing global emerging markets growth fund was co-managed, and as an Assistant Mexican Equity Research Analyst at Dresdner Bank Mexico. Luis holds a Bachelor's Degree in Economics from the UNH Peter T. Paul College of Business and Economics, obtained between 1989 and 1994.
