Christopher Lane

Christopher Lane joined William Blair in 2013, is the head of the firm’s Global Software Investment Banking effort, and is a member of the firm’s extended leadership group. Before joining William Blair, Mr. Lane was a managing director at Jefferies, where he worked in technology investment banking for 12 years.

During his time at William Blair, Mr. Lane has led over 40 M&A transactions and more than 20 financing transactions, and helped rapidly grow the firm's Technology Investment Banking Group—in California and globally.

Mr. Lane holds a B.A. in economics from Colgate University and an M.B.A. in finance from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Business. He lives in the Kentfield, California, with his wife and two daughters. He sits on the board of trustees of San Domenico School.
