Robert J. Thompson

Robert J. Thompson, Ph.D., CHA, TMP is an accomplished academic and professional in the fields of business administration and hospitality management. Currently serving as an Assistant Professor at William Carey University since February 2022, Robert oversees student learning outcomes and collaborates to enhance learning experiences. In addition to academic roles, Robert holds various leadership positions, including President and President Elect at Rotary International and Vice President of Membership at Sales & Marketing Professionals. Previous experience includes chairing the Department of Hospitality and Tourism Management at the University of South Alabama and serving as an adjunct professor at multiple universities. Robert's extensive background in marketing includes key roles at Wyndham Hotels & Resorts and Rabex Resorts, bolstered by a Ph.D. in Human Capital Development and multiple advanced degrees in business and hospitality.
