Paul Benassi

Paul Benassi is a Staff Forensic Psychiatrist at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) since October 2017, contributing to patient care and mental health improvement. As a Tutor and Assistant Professor at the University of Toronto, Paul plays a vital role in educating MSc students and psychiatry residents on quality improvement methodologies. Paul also serves as the Forensic Psychiatry Division Lead on the Continuing Professional & Practice Development Committee, focusing on enhancing mental health care through innovative education. Additionally, Paul acts as a Clinical Expert Advisor for the IDEAS Program with Health Quality Ontario and provides emergency psychiatry consultation at William Osler Health System. As an Executive Board Member for Canadian Friends of Hôpital Albert Schweitzer Haiti, Paul supports healthcare initiatives in the community. Education credentials include a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) from McMaster University and a Master of Science in Quality Improvement and Patient Safety from the University of Toronto.
