WILLIAM ROBINSON GRAVETYE CHARITY
WILLIAM ROBINSON GRAVETYE CHARITY owns and manages 650 acres of Sussex forest, farmland and lakes for public benefit. Our mission is to share the teachings of pioneering 'wild gardener' William Robinson (1838-1935), who lived at Gravetye Manor for over 40 years before gifting his estate to the nation. We are developing an accessible woodland garden and family-friendly woodland trails so that people can learn whilst being immersed in nature. Our vision is to improve biodiversity and to develop a Climate Change and disease resilient woodland landscape through exemplary stewardship and experimentation. We are embarking on a programme to plants thousands of trees and are actively seeking corporate partners interested in environmental volunteering experiences for their staff.
