Steve Shields

Steve Shields serves as the Senior Manager of Data Platform and Reporting Support at Williams-Sonoma, Inc. since August 2017, where responsibilities include ensuring reliable data delivery during the transition to Azure and Snowflake and coordinating stakeholder engagement for a smooth platform transition. Previously, Steve managed teams in reporting and analytics for various internal business sectors, providing 24/7 support. Prior experience at Pacific Gas and Electric Company from August 2007 to June 2017 included serving as Production Support Lead for SAP BW, managing a support team, and acting as a subject matter expert on significant projects. Steve began a career in SAP BW development, focusing on ETL, ABAP Code, and SQL. Steve holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo.
