Kathy Nguyen

Kathy Nguyen brings over thirteen years of accounting experience to WilliamsMarston.

Prior to joining WilliamsMarston, Kathy was a Director at Paradigm Advisory and her experience includes advising clients on a variety of complex matters including IPO readiness, lease accounting, business combinations, discontinued operations, share-based compensation arrangements, inventory accounting and intangible asset impairment. Additionally, she has advised clients on audit preparedness, including internal controls over financial reporting considerations.

Prior to Paradigm Advisory, Kathy spent twelve years with KPMG, with experience in the national office and audit practice. During her time with the national office, she was part of the Accounting Standards Group, and gained experience developing trainings and publications on various U.S. accounting matters related to revenue, inventory, and business combinations. She served as a dedicated assistant for SEC reviewing partners on various engagements and served various clients in both the Orlando and Los Angeles markets during her time in the audit practice. Her experience in public accounting with an extensive background in providing audit services to both publicly-traded and privately-held clients in various industries, primarily in real estate, hospitality, and retail. Key areas of focus include implementation of Topic 842 – Leases, business combinations, asset acquisitions, real estate valuations, impairment of non-financial assets, discontinued operations and held-for-sale classification, SOX 404 compliance, and SEC reporting.

Kathy holds both a BSBA and a Master’s in Accounting from the University of Central Florida and is a Certified Public Accountant.
