Yolanda Zapata

Yolanda Zapata has a long and varied work experience. Yolanda began their career in 1998 as an Americorps Team Member for City Year San Jose/Silicon Valley, where they developed different roles of leadership in the local community. In 1999, they joined the City of San Jose as a Senior Program Coordinator, Afterschool Program Director and Disaster Preparedness Class Instructor. In 2003, they became a Starbucks Barista, where they learned about coffee from around the world and prepared coffee and tea drinks to customer's specifications. From 2007 to 2008, they worked as a Massage Therapist for Burke Williams Day Spas, Inc. and Lavish Beauty & Wellness. In 2008, they also joined The Spa at ICC as a Massage Therapist and TRIO THERAPY SERVICES, INC. as a Clinical LMT & Esthetician. In 2009, they became a Personal Assistant for a Private Family Office. Finally, in 2019, they joined Willow Biosciences Inc. as an Office Manager and Senior Office Manager, providing a wide range of administrative and human resources support.

Yolanda Zapata is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration at San Jose State University, with an expected graduation in Spring 2024. Yolanda previously attended Mission College, Santa Clara, CA, where they obtained an Associate of Arts degree in Global Studies between 2006 and 2008. In 2009 and 2010, they attended San Jose City College, where they obtained an Advanced Esthetics Program and Esthetician License #89672 in Skincare Therapy & Esthetics. In 2004 and 2005, they attended Trinity College, where they obtained a Massage Therapist degree in Massage Therapy. Yolanda also attended San Jose High School. In addition to their education history, Zapata has obtained several certifications, including Unconscious Bias (2017) from LinkedIn in 2023, Facial Lymphatic Drainage from Alexanders Aesthetics in 2017, Defensive Driving Course from the National Safety Council in 2008, Food Safety Manager from the National Registry of Food Safety Professionals (NRFSP) in 2006, Esthetician from the California State Board of Barbering and Cosmetology in 2010, and Certified Massage Therapist from the California Massage Therapy Council in 2014.
