Laurie Amagan

Laurie Amagan, MBA, PSPO has a diverse work experience spanning over multiple industries. Laurie began their career in sales and leasing with Crown Honda of Southpoint and later worked as an Inbound Telesales Specialist at Time Warner Cable. Laurie then transitioned into the insurance industry, working at The Hartford in various roles, including Select Customer Sales Rep and Middle Market Sales Underwriter. During their time at The Hartford, Laurie also served as a Personal Lines Division Service Manager, where they coached and mentored a team of 15 staff members.

Laurie then gained experience in the software industry, starting as a Software Analyst at SchoolDude.com, providing application training and support to clients. Laurie later joined FacilityDude.com as an Onboarding Client Advisor, leading the client experience and supporting solution implementation. Laurie further expanded their software product management skills at Dude Solutions, where they served as an Associate Product Manager, responsible for the Asset Essentials solution and shared platform functionality. Laurie then transitioned to the role of Senior Solutions Consultant, facilitating online seminars to support sales acquisition strategies.

Currently, Laurie is working at WillowTree as a Senior Product Lead. In this role, they attend client meetings, leads the discovery process, and collaborates with clients and project teams to define feature sets for applications. Laurie also works with the visual design team to document functional specifications and leads the user experience design process.

Throughout their career, Laurie has demonstrated their ability to build strong client relationships, define product vision, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Laurie has a strong background in product management, sales, and customer service, making their a versatile professional with a well-rounded skillset.

Laurie Amagan obtained a BA degree in Sociology from Trinity University in 1994. In 2018, they also earned a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree with a focus on Business Administration and Management, General from Kennesaw State University - Michael J. Coles College of Business. Laurie has obtained additional certifications including AI Training for Product Professionals from Pragmatic Institute in 2023, Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED from American Red Cross Training Services in April 2023, and Professional Scrum Product Owner I from Scrum.org in 2021.
